John’s financial services career began in 2005 as a college intern at Edward Jones. Upon graduation, he began a career at Capital Research and Management Company based in Los Angeles, CA. In 2014, just after the birth of his son, his family chose to move to the Sierra Foothills in pursuit of a quieter life while serving the investment needs of our clients more intimately.
When he’s not in the office, you can find John and his family out on the farm. They are busy raising pups, chickens, sheep, and bees! Additionally, they’ve planted a vineyard, olive, and fruit tree orchard. John couldn't feel more thankful to plant roots both metaphorically and literally in the Sierra Foothills.

Randy Ehle
Operations Manager
Randy brings a unique blend of experience to Sierra Family Wealth, including fourteen years of financial operations experience in both a large broker-dealer headquarters at LPL and independent financial advisors’ branch offices. In addition, Randy has served as a pastor, substitute teacher, and in the U.S. Air Force; and serves our community as a Chaplain for the Sonora Police Department and as an announcer for local parades and high school sports teams.
In every role he’s had, Randy seeks to live out his passion for helping people, whether mentally, emotionally, spiritually, or financially. Randy and his wife, Eiley, have been married for over thirty years and have raised three adult children.

Jaime "JJ" Dowell
Client Services Associate
JJ brings a wealth of experience from her diverse background in the wine industry, the art world, and as a paralegal. Born in San Diego, she holds a B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California, Davis. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga and working her small farm, and she proudly embraces her role as the “best Auntie ever” to her two young nieces here in Murphys.

Carrin Blyth
Estate Planning Coordinator
Carrin Blyth oversees Sierra Family Wealth’s estate-planning administration and serves as the primary coordinator for our Wealth.com platform. She supports clients through the estate-planning process by organizing information, managing document workflows, and helping ensure timely, thoughtful follow-through—working in coordination with outside attorneys as appropriate.
Carrin brings a diverse background as a former English professor, paralegal, and law-office administrator, with significant experience supporting tax-related matters. Her work is grounded in clarity, organization, and client care—helping families move confidently through what can often feel like a complex process.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Carrin spent many years in Napa and Lake Counties before settling in Murphys, which she calls her favorite place on earth. Outside the office, she enjoys walking the streets of Murphys with her husband Stan and their two dogs, Courtney Love and Chloe, and taking in the town’s live music scene.
